Cyspera Intensive offers a hydroquinone-free option for managing pigmentation. However, successful treatment of melasma and PIH requires more than a pigment-correcting product alone.Consistent photoprotection, control of inflammation, gentle skincare and appropriate maintenance are essential. For melasma, a tinted sunscreen containing iron oxides may provide additional protection against visible light.

What is Cyspera Intensive used for?
Cyspera Intensive is a hydroquinone-free pigmentation treatment containing 7% cysteamine. It helps improve the appearance of melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), dark spots and uneven skin tone.
How long does Cyspera Intensive take to work?
Some users may notice improvements in pigmentation within 4 weeks. However, results vary depending on the type and severity of pigmentation. The recommended intensive treatment phase lasts 16 weeks, followed by maintenance.
Can Cyspera Intensive be used for melasma?
Yes. Cyspera Intensive may help reduce the appearance of melasma by targeting pathways involved in pigmentation. Because melasma is a chronic, relapsing condition, consistent sun protection and ongoing maintenance remain essential.
How do I use Cyspera Intensive correctly?
Apply to dry, unwashed skin once daily. Start with 5 minutes and gradually increase contact time to 15 minutes as tolerated. Rinse thoroughly using the recommended cleansing step and follow with a moisturiser. If the skin has recently been washed, wait at least one hour before application.
Is Cyspera Intensive suitable for dark skin?
Yes. Cyspera Intensive can be used across different skin phototypes, including darker skin tones. However, irritation may worsen post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, so gradual introduction and appropriate skincare are important.
Can I use Cyspera Intensive with retinol or other pigmentation products?
Potentially, but combining multiple active ingredients may increase irritation. Avoid introducing strong retinoids, exfoliating acids or other irritating treatments simultaneously without professional guidance. A dermatologist can help design an appropriate routine.
Is Cyspera Intensive safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Cyspera Intensive is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding according to the manufacturer's precautions. Consult your healthcare professional about alternative pigmentation treatments.
Do I need sunscreen while using Cyspera Intensive?
Yes. Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher every day. SPF 50+ is a practical choice for pigmentation-prone skin. For melasma, tinted sunscreen containing iron oxides may offer additional protection against visible light.
Can Cyspera Intensive cause irritation?
Yes. Mild tingling, warmth or temporary irritation may occur. Start with shorter contact times and increase gradually. If significant irritation develops, stop using the product until the skin recovers and seek professional advice if symptoms persist.
Is Cyspera Intensive a permanent cure for pigmentation?
No. Although Cyspera Intensive may improve pigmentation, melasma and PIH can recur, particularly with continued UV exposure, visible-light exposure or inflammation. Maintenance treatment, sun protection and appropriate skincare help preserve results.
